I’ve always had a knack for organizing. It came naturally to me, but I never imagined what it would bring into my life through Conquer the Chaos. I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education, and taught for eight years. When I was ready to go back to work after time off raising my children, I was at a crossroads. I knew that I could go back to teaching, however I wasn’t sure if it was the best decision for me. At that time, I had a conversation with a friend who was a professional organizer in Florida. We talked about her job, she sent me some information, and I haven’t looked back since.
Starting your own business can be scary, but I jumped in full force. My first client was one of my best friends. As we worked together through her home, my confidence grew tremendously. My family moved to Virginia shortly thereafter, and my first client in my new state found my business card on a coffee shop bulletin board. To this day, she remains my most fascinating client. I’d tell you why, but the CIA would investigate you and scrub your phone clean. Trust me on this one!
What I love most about my job is the relief and joy I see in my clients as they reclaim both their space and their peace of mind. That “ahhh” moment and heavy exhale that follows most sessions makes every day worth it. I feel it is a true privilege to do what I do. Whether the client is a 100-year-old company ready to embrace new systems or a family needing assistance after the death of a loved one, I always feel an enormous amount of appreciation for the trust they put in me as they let me into their space. It is truly humbling work and I am thankful each of my clients allows me to assist them.
The crucial thing I want potential clients to know is there is never a perfect time to get started. As cliche as it sounds, just do it! This change isn’t ever going to truly “fit” into your busy schedule, and if it did, you would have made the change a long time ago. I pride myself on being patient, nonjudgmental, and thriving as a creative problem solver. Nothing scares me! We truly work together as a team to get your home or business flowing. Whether you’re in the process of downsizing, your business is moving to a new location, or you are simply fed up with living with chaos, please contact me. I would be honored to work with you.
